This is a great year for solar around the world. How great?
An incredible 35,000 megawatts of solar will be built around the world in 2013, a new record for annual installation. That is the equivalent of 9 medium sized nuclear plants being built in one year.
As sunny as 2013 has been for solar, 2014 will be brighter still. Deutsche Bank projects that the world will install as much as 50,000 megawatts next year or the equivalent of 12.5 nuclear plants!

That's an astonishing amount of new electricity generation of any sort and confirms that the solar industry has reached a scale that will transform energy markets around the world.
That is good news. Wonder how PA will do respectively? Are we keeping pace with what the world is doing? If you have data on Project Sunshine or any other PA programs that help fund solar installations, that would be good to have. How has solar fared under Corbett? What are you proposing as feasible growth in solar generating capacity if we elect you governor of PA?
ReplyDeleteSince 2011 PA solar market has not kept pace. Corbett has been hostile to solar, refusing to make minor changes that would have made a big difference. My plans at www.hangerforgovernor would make PA a national and world leader in solar. We could easily build 1600 megawatts of solar here--about 8 times the current amount.
ReplyDeleteSounds like progress to me.
