September Generation Scoreboard: Solar Up 106%, Wind 35%, Nuke 2%, Coal Up 6% But Gas Down 6% & Hydro 4%

Solar, wind, and coal are the three big winners on the September 2013 Generation Scoreboard.

Solar rose in September 2013 an incredible 106%, compared to September 2012. Wind production jumped a huge 35%. And coal's 2013 rebound continued, with its production up 6%, compared to a year ago.

On the scoreboard, the two big losers are natural gas and hydro, both down 6% and 4% respectively.  Gas and coal continue to mirror each other, with the increase in coal generation almost precisely matched by the fall in gas-fired electricity production.
