Stunning Fact: Buffett's And Iowa's MidAmerican Energy Will Be 39% Wind By 2016

MidAmerican Energy is a true heartland utility. It is Iowa's largest energy company, serving 734,000 electricity customers and a similar number of gas customers.  It is owned by Warren Buffett, the sage of Omaha.

This large, heartland electric utility will soon use wind more than any other technology to supply its customers. Wind will account for 39% of MidAmerican's electricity supply by 2016!

After wind's 39%, coal will supply 33%, natural gas 18%, and nuclear 6%. MidAmerican's wind surge continues, as it is in the process of building another 1,050 megawatts of wind!
