EPA is mandating all companies switch t...Victoria,<br /><br />EPA is mandating all companies switch to "green completions" by 2014. <br /><br />Green completions do not flare or vent any gas. The new regs are expected to reduce methane emissions from the drilling process by over 90%. Many companies already using them, but there are only so many systems in existence, which is why EPA delayed the regs until 2014.
